Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Taqyid platform, a SaaS solution for Halal compliance management.

1. Acceptance of the terms

By accessing Taqyid, you accept these Terms of Service without reservation. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of the service

Taqyid is a B2B SaaS platform that allows companies to:

• Manage their Halal certificates (JAKIM/MYeHALAL)
• Automate internal and external audits
• Ensure traceability of raw materials
• Centralize compliance documentation
• Track suppliers and their certifications
• Manage the Halal Assurance System (HAS)

3. Registration and user account

3.1 Account creation

Access to Taqyid requires the creation of an account. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information.

3.2 Account responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities carried out through your account.

3.3 Beta phase

During the beta phase, access is free and limited to a restricted number of users. Taqyid reserves the right to select participants.

4. Use of the service

4.1 Authorized use

You agree to use Taqyid only for:

• Managing your own Halal compliance
• Legitimate professional purposes
• Compliance with JAKIM/MHMS 2020 standards

4.2 Prohibited use

It is strictly prohibited to:

• Use the service for illegal or fraudulent purposes
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Disrupt or degrade the operation of the service
• Copy, modify or distribute the source code
• Resell or sub-license the service
• Use the service to build a competing product

5. Intellectual property

All elements of the Taqyid platform (source code, design, logos, trademarks, content) are the exclusive property of Taqyid. Any unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.

The data you upload remains your property. You grant Taqyid a limited licence to use it solely for the operation of the service.

6. Data protection

Your data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the GDPR. You have the right to access, rectify and delete your data.

7. Pricing and payment

7.1 Beta phase

During the beta phase, access is free. Future commercial terms will be communicated before any billing starts.

7.2 Business model

Taqyid operates on a monthly or annual subscription model (ijārah), in line with Islamic finance principles. No interest is charged in case of late payment.

8. Availability and support

8.1 Availability

We strive to ensure maximum service availability (target 99.5%). Scheduled maintenance may cause temporary interruptions.

8.2 Technical support

During the beta, dedicated support is provided. After the beta, support will be included in paid plans.

9. Liability and warranties

9.1 Limitation of liability

Taqyid cannot be held liable for:

• Decisions made on the basis of data from the platform
• Indirect losses or loss of profit
• Interruptions due to external causes (network failures, etc.)
• Actions by users that violate these Terms of Service

9.2 Beta phase

During the beta phase, the service is provided “as is”. Bugs or malfunctions may occur. Your feedback helps us to improve the service.

10. Termination

10.1 By the user

You may terminate your account at any time via your profile settings.

10.2 By Taqyid

Taqyid reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account in case of:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Non-payment (outside the beta phase)
• Extended inactivity (more than 12 months)

11. Changes to the Terms of Service

Taqyid reserves the right to amend these Terms of Service at any time. Users will be informed by email of any major changes. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts, after an attempt at amicable resolution.
